Actually I got 3! My golden tickets will not get us into Willy Wonka's candy factory. It will however fulfill our obligation to the school district for our year of homeschooling. In Ohio the two ways to notify the local school district that you are homeschooling is either a standardized test or have an assessment. We choose to have all of the kids work assessed by a licensed teacher. Basically the person doing the assessment looks over everything and makes sure they are working up to grade level. The person who does my assessment was referred to me by Lisa of course:) She is so nice and so helpful as well. She assessed the kids reading and gave me tons of tips on things to do for next year. I am always terrified to go. I can just picture her saying "Oh. My. Goodness! Put those kids in school!" Of course she said they are doing great. They are wonderful children, they are smart, funny and are doing wonderfully. What a relief... until next year.
I am Lacy. I'm a single mom who is blessed to still be able to stay home full time. I am proud momma of 4 beautiful children who joined our family through the miracle of adoption. I love reading books and adoption blogs, cooking, decorating, DIY'ing and sewing. I spend my days homeschooling and my evenings running the kids to all of their activities.
The Gift of Life
I didn't give you the gift of life.
But in my heart I know.
The love I feel is deep and real.
As if it had been so.
For us to have each other
Is like a dream come true!
No, I didn't give you the gift of life,
Life gave me the gift of you.
